This is a 2 weeks design + construction collaboration project with Studio Bark.  U-build garden room is the first full-scale prototype of the low-impact U-Build modular system designed by Studio Bark. U-Build system had been designed to change the preconceptions of self-build. My contribution to the project is to designed a demount-able cladding system, which fastened onto the structure to control the infiltration of weather and for pleasing aesthetic purposes. As a team we had to fabricate a modular facade from beginning to the end. Apart from designing we also looked more closely into timber, to understand the material and how it mat affect the structure over time. Timbers natural behavious were a crucial part to the design and were taken into consideration during construction. We aided our assembling process by creating a jig which would make it faster and more efficient to create the modules.
